vodou is a dance of the spirit: a system of movements, gestures, prayers, and songs in veneration of the invisible forces of life. vodou was created in haiti in a revolutionary struggle against slavery and continues today as the religion of most of the haitian people. it is the oldest, most famous, and least understood of all diasporan religions.
