i've been working, y'see. this is what i get paid to do:

deep in the stacks i was hiding amongst my paper piles.

a stranger stood and looked down upon my mess.

eyes aglow he paused to present his perfect grin, hovering over my scrawled notes of learning.

he packed and walked my way - slowing down, down.

he stopped and whispered a sincere, "good luck."

i mustered my biggest smile - expressions say so much.
